Edman joins Bruce
Wigan manager Steve Bruce has spoken of his delight at completing a deal for former Spurs defender Erik Edman on Friday.
The Latics agreed a fee believed to be in the region of £500,000 with French club Rennes as they bid to reinforce their squad.
Sweden international Edman has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Wigan and Bruce believes the signing can only benefit the club.
"Finding a left back was always going to be a transfer priority and Erik is a top international who has experience of the Premier League," he told the club's official website.
