Ollie lines up survival push

Leicester City manager Ian Holloway has Coca-Cola Championship survival in his sights after Steve Howard's treble against West Brom boosted their hopes.

City had trailed to a strike from Robert Koren, but the dismissal of Albion's on-loan Aston Villa striker Luke Moore turned the game in their favour.

Gareth McAuley equalised and Howard then almost single-handedly destroyed Albion as the Foxes triumphed 4-1 at The Hawthorns.

Holloway said: “We have got a massive job to do. It was awful when we dropped in that bottom three.

“But, on the balance of the whole season and the changes that have happened, we have to hold our hands up and say we haven't done well enough yet. But, with seven games left, I believe we will.

“We have to start building and I have got some good players here providing they are motivated like that.

“When Albion had a deflected shot that went in and their goalkeeper made an unbelievable save, I thought here we go again.

“We kept our focus. Goals change games and, once we headed one in, there was a huge difference in the team.

“That was the first time this season Leicester City have gone a goal down and come back and won.

“I will be loving it if we can get another one because we have not won back-to-back games.

“That is why we are down where we are. But some of that play against Albion I am pleased with. We just have to try to become consistent. This is just one game.”

The defeat cast a major cloud over Albion's automatic promotion hopes and it came at a cost.

Moore will be banned for three games and central defender Leon Barnett limped off with a hamstring strain, forcing Tony Mowbray's side to finish the game with nine men.

Mowbray, whose side have won just one of their last six home games, said: “Luke's sending-off did affect us. It looked like he went chasing a ball.

“Officials make decisions that they see and we have to abide by them.

“Luke was very quiet after the game and we will have a chat with him when things calm down. He is a young player who is trying to impress.

“We have just got to get on with things now and we won't look too deeply at today. We need to move on to the next game.

“We got our noses in front and who knows what would have happened if it had stayed 11 v 11. I think it could have been different. But we know that have got to win some games now.”
