Baggies move for Sodje
West Bromwich Albion expect to complete the loan signing of Reading defender Sam Sodje on Saturday morning.
Baggies boss Tony Mowbray moved for Sodje after an injury curtailed the season of Curtis Davies and suspension then robbed him of Martin Albrechtsen.
The Nigerian, a summer signing for The Royals from Brentford, is expected to pen a month-long loan deal at The Hawthorns.
Sodje will be available for Sunday's top-of-the-table clash against Birmingham should the Baggies complete the formalities of the transfer by Saturday's deadline.
"We need to bring in reinforcements in central defence," Mowbray told the club's official website.
"Sam will bring both a real competitive edge and athleticism to the team.
"He's as big a presence in the opposition box as he is defending in his own penalty area because he attacks the ball exceptionally well.
"The Reading coaching staff speak highly of Sam. We're looking forward to him coming on board."
