Spurs sign youngster
Tottenham are poised to sign striker Dag Alexander from Norwegian second division side SK Gjovik Lyn subject to the 17-year-old passing a medical.
"Alex is a talented player and very quick," said Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli of the Norwegian.
"He has an impressive goalscoring record in what is his first season in the first team at Gjovik Lyn.
"He came here for a week's trial and impressed both our Academy and senior staff. We are delighted to sign him."
Comolli added on the Tottenham website: "Alex had offers from many top clubs both in England and across Europe but he showed a real desire to play for Spurs."
