Spurs close in on Kameni

Reports in Spain claim Tottenham have opened talks with Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.

The highly-rated Cameroon shot-stopper is being watched by a host of clubs, and Espanyol are bracing themselves for bids.

Spurs number two Gus Poyet has already confirmed his club are interested in Kameni and now reports in Catalunya say the north London club have made their move.

But reports in Spain have now suggested the Cameroon goalkeeper is ready to disappoint his Premier League suitors after being convinced to stay.
