Hertha accept Spurs' Boateng bid
Hertha Berlin have accepted a bid from Tottenham for Germany Under-21 midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.
The 20-year-old was interesting Spanish side Sevilla as well, but a bid of about £5m appears to have put Spurs in the driving seat for his signature.
Boateng told a German newspaper: "The Premier League is my dream league and now I am thinking about Tottenham."
Hertha general manager Dieter Hoeness added: "We accept the offer and now the club and the player must agree a deal."
Hoeness continued: "The offer from Sevilla never interested us. It was not enough, so we turned it down."
Sevilla lodged a £2.7m bid last week that was rejected, while Spurs are reported to have offered just over £5m.
Sevilla upped their original offer, but on Tuesday they reached agreement with Racing Lens to sign Mali international midfielder Seydou Keita.
Boateng added: "We were quite advanced with Sevilla.
"I heard that Keita was joining Sevilla, so I don't know if that has any effect on me."
Boateng has made 43 first-team appearances for Hertha since turning professional, scoring four goals in the process.
