Simon Cowell reportedly asked Cheryl Cole to change her vote and nominate John and Edward instead of Lucy. This would have let Cowell vote for Lucy and he'd have saved face. This looks like being the big mistake that costs the show a lot of fans.

My favourite finalist went out yesterday at the hands of Jedward. I think the set up of the show has been found out, internet sites were calling for one of Simon Cowells acts to go out this weekend as revenge for bottling it last week. One thing that was noticable this week was how many fantastic songs were written by Queen. The variety of Queens work must be down to all 4 members writting their music at some point

I hope the decision to save Jedward is the straw that breaks the camels back.

The X factor should now go the same way as Big Brother, in the bin.

Cowell has created a monster, and now I hope he has killed it for good.

These 2 clowns are the reason people watch the early weeks, to see idiots who cant sing making fools of themselves.

They should never have been put through in the first place, and to see Louis Walsh's smarmy smirking boat race every week when they survive makes me want to kick the telly in!

Don't Watch IT

Cowell and co are the reason that British music is in the duldrums. The rubbish they churn out year after year just doesn't do anything to bolster our image abroad. About time this so called mogul was put out to grass along with Waterman & Walsh. Time to go back to decent British pop music which is sorely needed now.

Its sad when British talent comes down to these two.. Is this the best talent that we really have in this country or is it the fact that this show has low levels of excepted talent

Unfortunately the British public has been hoodwinked in to thinking that this tosh is the norm when it clearly isn't. New talent has always been noticed playing gigs in pubs, clubs or other venues over the years and some of the best artists and bands have come through via this route. Talent shows are for desperate wannabes and always have been. I can remember "Opportunity Knocks" in the 70's. Very few of the people on there went on to be really successful. Maybe brief flurries of fame but their star soon faded. The same by and large that happens with the "X Factor". Apart from Girls Aloud and Leona Lewis there hasn't really been anyone that stands out as brilliant.
