Ostersund 0-6 Swansea City

Spanish striker Gorka Pintado got his Swansea career off to a flying start with a hat-trick in the Swans opening pre-season friendly.

It took the former Espanyol frontman just 32 minutes to grab the goals with Guillem Bauza adding two more.

Pintado's fellow debutant Mark Gower scored the Swans' sixth goal to complete the rout.

The Swans did suffer the loss of Marcos Painter two minutes from time with a broken nose after an accidental clash

Roberto Martinez has declared himself pleased after the Swans won 6-0 in Sweden

Gorka Pintado scored a hat-trick on debut, Guillem Bauza added two in the second half and Mark Gower was also on target for a debutant goal to round of the scoring as the Swans started their pre-season with a bang and a 6 goal demolition in Swedeny.

It was a great start to pre-season for the Swans with the new season just over four weeks away and Roberto was full of praise for the way his players went about their jobs “It was a very pleasing exercise" he said after the game

“We have trained very hard but this was our first 11 against 11 and it was tremendous to see the attitude of the players.

“They have been training four times a day,” he revealed. “We have 24-hour sunlight here and are at altitude so that helps us achieve the fitness levels we want.”

The Swans return to Wales on Sunday with games against Neath (16th) and Port Talbot (17th) lined up before they head to Spain later in the month.

Home games are arranged against West Brom (2nd August) and Den Haag (5th August) Tickets are available for the West Brom game now - the Kris O'Leary testimonial whilst Den Haag tickets will go on sale on Monday along with tickets for the Carling Cup tie against Brentford.

Tickets for the opening day clash at Charlton are available to Season Ticket holders and Premier club members today (2 per voucher/lanyard) with 1912 Foundation members and Trust Members tomorrow (2 per membership card) and the remainder go on general sale on Saturday - around 1000 tickets were sold on the first day of sale yesterday

in all fairness Jack, they were a crap team to play against.
they're nowhere near as good as Orient. after all, Swansea only beat us 5-0 at our ground last season
