Swansea City: Gorka Pintado

Swansea are holding negotiations with Spanish Segunda Division outfit Granada over the possible transfer of striker Gorka Pintado.

The 30-year-old is a target of Swansea boss Roberto Martinez as he plans for next season in the Championship.

Pintado, who is under contract in Spain until 2009, scored 18 goals for Granada last season to catch the eye of Martinez.

And the Spaniard has admitted he would be interested in a move to English football.

"This is the deal of my life and I am very excited by the possibility of playing in England," Pintado told the Spanish media.

However, Swansea - who are understood to be prepared to offer 60,000 euros (£47,000) - will have to meet Granada's 300,000 euros (£236,000) valuation if they are to capture Pintado.

very strong rumors coming out of spain tonight is we have done a deal worth 200,000 euros for him and he`s coming over here next week looking for somewhere to buy a house.

could be a good signing or he mite not be able to adapt to the english game sunds good for them tho

from what i can understand he seems to be a cracking player who runs his legs off for the full 90 mins and good with his head. also looking at his history the lowerst amount of goals scored in a season is 16 wow thats not bad at all. so fingers crossed

Sounds like he would be a fantastic signing for you and help you to suceed in the championship. seems ages since you invaded gigg lane lol

lol it does dosnt it lol only 3/4 years ago that day when our keeper got arrested.also i was there on the pitch that day.

theres something i always remember whenever somebody mentions swansea is you lot on our pitch, i loved your singing throughout the game i love watching fans do it and being loud, but running on our pitch at the end really peed me off, i understand why you lot came on the pitch im sure i would have done the same if it was the other way around but theres just something about running on our pitch that annoyed me didnt get to applaud our players for their work at the end of the year although i did shake glynn garners hand while he was making his escape up into the main stand. sure clelbrate yeh run on the pitch but the fans that came to the home fans and started swearin and what not while a few of our players were still out mean i have bad feelings for swansea
