Swansea City: Martinez signs new deal

Swansea manager Roberto Martinez has committed his long-term future to the club by signing an "improved" contract.

The Spaniard, 34, whose current deal runs out in May 2010, celebrated his first year in charge with promotion to the Championship.

They had to tie him down to a lengthy contract otherwise there'd be plenty of other clubs wanting him after the season he's had.
