Martinez claims League One award
Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has claimed the League One Manager of the Month award for January.
It means the Spanish tactician has won the gong for the second consecutive month and third time already this season.
Despite going out of the FA Cup to lowly Havant and Waterlooville, their form in January has been superb with four wins and two draws from their six league outings.
That run of form has seen the Welsh outfit move 10 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.
Compliment
"This is a great compliment. I accept it in the name of Swansea," he told Sky Sports News.
"It normally comes with a curse, but I think we know how to react to it. We need to keep working hard, improving and looking toward to the next game.
"When you get disappointment in the cup it's how you react and the responsibility shown has been fantastic."
Martinez pipped Doncaster's Sean O'Driscoll, Northampton's Stuart Gray and Cheltenham's Keith Downing to the January prize.
