10 man Swansea held out to grab a victory over Leeds United.
On a day which was marked as the game of the League One season, Swansea City (Top), Leeds United (3rd), Swansea City managed to beat their Yorkshire Rivals.
Goals from Andy Robinson with a stunning free kick, Garry Monk with a powered header from a corner and Jason Scotland's composed finish putting the Swans 3-1 up at half time after Jermaine Beckford's equalizer 3 minutes after Robinson's free kick. All the talk at the break though was for the wrong reasons, A rash foul by 'The Dutch Roy Keane' Ferrie Bodde saw him sent off and Swansea down to 10 men.
Leeds came out storming in the second half, Looking to get at least a point and it was United who scored first in the Second Half through a great Alan Thompson free kick. Leeds put the pressure on, Bringing on experienced striker Toré André Flo but they failed to break Swansea's rearguard once again which was marshalled well by Garry Monk.
Now, we go 5 points clear with 2 games in hand over most of our rivals excluding Carlsile and Forest with the latter only having the one in hand.
Overall, An extremely satisfying match, We're going Up!
