New Favourite as sunderland manager

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is the shock favourite to become the new Sunderland manager. (Various)

It'll be a big shock if Sam leaves for Sunderland especially as it means him dropping down a division. He might be ready for a change of club, but i would think he'd like to stay in the Premiership.

Big sam will not be coming to us, Bolton have already come out and rubbished it, I suspect someone has started this rumour like the one when Jon Kollar was supposed to be signing for sunderland it was in the nationals, ssn, bbc and itv but at the end of the day it was a joke!

He could take this and my belief is that he would do a good job, but it could be just to prove to a few people that there is more to Sam Allardyce than Bolton Wanderers.

I find Sunderland a strange club, when they're doing well they pull in 40,000 gates, they've never bought big to stay in the Premiership, so where does all the money go?. Are they still paying for the ground ?

No the ground and the academy are fully owned by us, our debt is all down to Murray giving £10mil to Reidy's panic buying a few weeks before he was sacked, yes we can pull in 40,000 plus when we are doing well and still pull in 30,000 plus with only one home win last season and 2 away wins also taking 1500-2500 to away games not bad with a club with no ambition

I am a season ticket holder and also go to pre season and away games but I do understand a lot of our supporters have had enough with the attitude of the board thinking we dont need to put big money in the fans will still turn up, yes I know I am guilty of that but its in your blood the same as any other supporter of other clubs. sorry rant over!!!!
