Has Keane gone as far as he can

Roy Keane seems to be struggling with Sunderland already this season. Hailed as the messiah by passionate Mackems he did a great job getting promotion last season. Now he's in with the big boys, he's beginning to look out of his depth, will he succeed or are Sunderland on the way down.

It looks like the same old story for Sunderland, win promotion then fail to buy the class players needed to stay up. Certainties for relegation along with Derby

It,s got to be hard for sunderland to atract top players, they have a great stadium but thats not enough.Top players won't go there cos they don't want to go down.

We're doing fine

No need for Sunderland to panic, early days and our team is just starting to gel (as Arsenal can vouch for).
Few weeks and Carlos is back then we can shift a few players back into their natural positions.
Kenwynes looking great as he gains match fitness,Gordon is playing well as is Nos, no need to worry about us.
Anyone remember this time last year??

It's a different league this season Bongo, i can't see you going on the kind of run you had last season. I just hope Sunderland can stay up, they've been a yo-yo team for too long.

Worse teams

True we won't go on such a run but as long as we can keep picking up points here and there we'll be fine.
The thing that gives me a little hope is Bolton and Derby are in a worse state and we have played almost all of the big teams in the prem.
If we get points from the next 2-3 matches we will be in the european places, not that i expect us to be anywhere near there at the end of the season but it's still early days.

Do you think Keane has settled as manager of Sunderland or do think his real ambition is going back to Old Trafford.

Honestly, i don't think he will ever go to Old Trafford, the type of person he is there is no point.
At Sunderland he has taken over with a new board, new chairman, new sponsors the whole set up is brand new and he's the first manager since the transition.
He was given whatever he wanted last year with regards to staff and equipment, facilities etc and whatever money he asked for with no questions.
Last week Niall made it clear in January whatever Roy wanted he can have,Keane is left to deal with simply the football matters and Quinny takes care of the running of the club and they don't interfere with each others jobs.
This way Roy gets to say he will have achieved everything he wants to, not to take over after Fergies legacy, because if we're honest no one is going to be able to match up to his achievements at O.T. ,so whoever takes over will be on a loser on the first day of the job.
At Sunderland we also have the club's backers, the Drumaville consortium mainly Irishmen (and the 3 richest men in Ireland) and Roy and Niall are proud of their roots so this set up suits them down to the ground.

He is the type to stay at Sunderland to prove he has done it himself and not inherited it!
