City complete Hendrie loan deal

Stoke have seen off competition from Crystal Palace and QPR to complete the loan signing of Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie.

The 29-year-old has fallen out of favour at Villa Park, making only one substitute appearance this season.

That prompted the former England Under-21 international to ask Villa boss Martin O'Neill for a move.

His arrival will be a big boost to Tony Pulis' side who have won one of nine league games so far this season.
