Bangoura goes AWOL again
Sammy Bangoura's future at Stoke is shrouded in doubt after he went AWOL again.
The Guinean striker failed to show for last weekend's game with Barnsley. Bangoura infuriated the club earlier this summer when he returned to pre-season training five weeks late. The 24-year-old's latest indiscretion has upset Stoke boss Tony Pulis who is in the dark regard the player's whereabouts. "We don't know where he is," Pulis said. "He didn't show up on Friday, then didn't show again before the game. It shows total disrespect to the football club. "I was going to bring him into the squad and he would definitely have been on the bench. "We could have done with him in the second half because the front two had worked hard and he might well have been thrown on."
