I'm surprised people think squid is exotic - it's called calamari in my fish and chip shop!

Cpbee - yeah the "horse" was a mate's old race horse that went to the knackers yard - honest - one day I was losing money on it - the next eating it lol

Yeah - every time the shop was open outside the pub and I was around lol

about 4 times I guess - also had whelks and stuff like that other days.

sort of tastes like smoked tuna

I'll try anything but haven't had the chance to try anything really weird. I've had kangaroo and ostrich, most of the game foods (venison, rabbit, duck, pheasant), I've had squid several times and I love it. I love Haggis too.

I don't know what I tried in Cyprus when we went for the "Meze" - a 14 or 15 dish meal with various different courses - but it was all nice!!

I have eaten a baby octopus (or 5) from the seafront stalls in Southend and I also tried Jellied Eels while I was there but wouldn't recommend that to anyone!! Urgh!!
