I.T Help

I currently run 4 systems at home 2 desktops connected to a router by network cable and 2 laptops run through the same router on a wireless router.

Is it possible to set up a printer to work off all 4 machines ?

If so what do I need to do to get this running , the printer would need to be cabled to one of the desktops which is in my spare room , this machine operates on windows 98 and the other 3 on windows XP would this be a problem

Any help in basic english would be appreciated

Cheers Cov

Jesus Cov - I would be happy to get the bloody thing working off one pc never mind 4 lol

Can't really help you mate but I'm sure you can find the answers on the web somewhere.

Try here for a start

or maybe enter the make of your router into google and look for a help page/configuration stuff to do with that

Nice site Aussie, helped clear a load of things that have been causing a few problems

Anyone know anything about DVD Re-writers? My CD drive is recognised as being there sometimes but the majority of the time it isn't there.

Yesterday I finally caught it when it was there and tried to burn some footage from my computer to DVD. The programe started running alright, jumped straight to 20% completed, but then went on a big go slow, 20 hours later!! it was at 84% and then decided to turn off

Any ideas? Is my drive knackered? Are external rewriters any good? Or is it a case of not having much memory making it be rubbish?
