Blades after Leigertwood

Sheffield United are on the verge of signing Mikele Leigertwood,
The 23-year-old is out of contract at Crystal Palace, who would be due compensation for developing him.

The Blades and Palace are believed to be negotiating the size of the package in time for Leigertwood to join pre-season training on Wednesday.

Leigertwood has Premiership experience with Palace where he has played at centre-back, right-back and midfield.
