Sheffield United have rebuffed Everton's offer of a swap deal for Phil Jagielka.

United are facing a fight to keep hold of versatile performer Jagielka following their relegation from the Premiership.

Everton are widely believed to be leading the hunt to sign Jagielka, but so far they have been unable to agree a deal with United.

The Toffees were thought to be prepared to offer Gary Naysmith in part exchange for Jagielka as the Scot is no longer a regular at Goodison Park.
