Knill Sacked

No surprise really, but any point? After selling their two best players & the 10 point deduction they really have no chance of survival anyway, did they?

Rotherham have parted company with manager Alan Knill.
The Millers, who had 10 points deducted for going into administration are 13 points adrift of safety in League One after failing to win in 14 games.

A club statement said: "This action was not taken lightly, but it was felt that this was the only option considering our recent plight."

Mark Robins has been handed responsibility of team affairs for Saturday's game with Bradford.

Knill, who was in his second spell as manager of the club, has been in charge since December 2005.

He won just 18 of his 68 games in charge of the club.

Knill recently admitted that he had put the club ahead of his own reputation when he sold star striker Will Hoskins and midfielder Lee Williamson to Premiership side Watford in January for a fee which could earn the Millers £1.2m.

"The bigger picture was that the money saved the football club," he said.
