Ridiculous offer - Moore

That's what it will take for any club to prise top scorer Adam Le Fondre away from the Millers.

With Adam Le Fondre setting the division on fire, Millers gaffer Ronnie Moore is warning other clubs eyeing up the striker, what it would take for the Millers to part with their star goalscorer.

Speaking to The Star Moore said: "The chairman's attitude is that we don't have to sell unless someone comes in and offers something stupid in the range of two or three million. Then we would have a look at that. Alfie is enjoying his football here and long may that continue.

"It would take an absolutely ridiculous offer before he left.

"I have spoken to the chairman about it because there is always going to be a chance clubs are going to be interested in Alfie when he is scoring so many goals.

"People are crying out for a goalscorers and he is a natural goalscorer. But I have spoken with the chairman and he says unless it is ridiculous we don't have to do it which is brilliant for me and hopefully Alfie will understand that. His turn will come but this is not the right time for us to sell him."

Moore feels there is far more to come from his goal machine.

"Alfie's goals-to-games ratio is incredible and there is more to come.

"You can see every time he plays he looks like scoring a goal but I would just like someone else to start scoring as well.

"If Alfie picks up a knock and is unavailable, you wonder where the goals are going to come from so we have to improve our set plays and will be working hard in training to get that right."

The millers goals lincoln, just shows how well he is playing, come on steve, even you must admit he is a great player, just look at his record and these 2 goals.

I told you ages ago what I thought of Le Fondre mate .....he's decent at League 2 level, nothing special, he may be on a good roll at the moment but my opinion of him remains the same

"Ridiculous offer" in English means "we need to sell, and for as much as we can possibly get, as soon as the transfer window opens."

Remind me how much that £1m rated Reuben Reid went for in the end.

reid went for 350k which could rise to 500k if they go up, so was a little off there, but ALF seems even better then reid he keeps banging the goals, thank god he cant go to anyone in this transfer window, we dont need the money really, our 3 people in charge are keeping us going at the moment. so all is good there

if you have seen any of his goals, you will see he is a great striker, the overhead kick was mint as well, he has nearly got the same amount as last season top scorer in this league, who ever that was lol.

i think he will finish around the 25 goal mark, hope its 30! once again he scored yesterday, another good finish.

Bit shy of a million aint it ............I reckon if someone came in with £250k you would kiss goodbye to Le Fondre, but that said, he cant cut it in League 1 can he so its highly unlikely

Not as good as when we sold Simon Cox to West Brom in the summer. I think we paid £100,000 to Reading for him and he went to the Baggies for £1.9 million. Now that's good business.
