Roddy joins beleaguered Rotherham

Friday March 21 2008

RODDY COLLINS had discussions with Rotherham manager Mark Robins yesterday as it emerged that the former Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers and Carlisle boss would be joining the cash-strapped Millers in a consultancy role from next Friday, WRITES Daniel McDONNELL

Collins will be working on behalf of the McMullen Group who are sending their accountants in on Tuesday along with Bob Breen, the former Bohs commercial manager and Waterford general manager, who most recently worked for the FAI on UEFA Club Licensing.

He will spend the remainder of the season monitoring football affairs from behind the scenes. "I'll be looking at the general facilities there and the players and reporting back to the McMullens about the situation," said Collins

so if he comes in, it means the irish group should do as well,

I was reading this morning about this Irish chap who's said he's committed to taking over at Millmoor & with the possiblity of a new ground on the horizon as well. If it's true, then good news for the millers & their fans.
