Robins left to ponder goal drought

Well, we've all known for weeks we need a new striker, and that was demonstrated again yesterday at Adams Park. Mark Robins gives his post match reaction.

Robbo was left frustrated and wondering where the next goal is going to come from as his side extended its winless streak to five matches losing by a single goal at Wycombe.

Speaking to Home | Rotherham United, he explained; "I'm very frustrated to lose to a set piece goal and there wasn't very much between the two teams.

"We were in the game and whilst the movement and the quality was lacking a bit at times the effort was there, now we are just wondering where the next goal is coming from.

"Confidence is a state of mind and if people believe they are not going to score they won't. We are still there in with a shout but it wasn't good enough.

"Collectively we are a bit down - we have to get people's heads up and not focus on the defeat. The strikers belief in front of goal should be there, we have to find something infront of goal though in respect of others regards scoring chances.

"Jamie Green did well when he came on, he's waited for his chance and now it's time to look at players for the future with Paul Hurst going to Burton on loan for a month, Ian Sharps was missing through illness.

"Now it's time to knuckle down and for me to get the best out of the players as I can possibly do , we don't want to be looking over our shoulders and see all our hard work slip away."

Were 4 points in the play off's now, not won for 5 games and things dont look good. we need to get back on track soon. We create chances, but cant take them,we have a very young team and another 17 year old from the youth team played. maybe this is our problem, to many youth players in the team. we have 5 of them and the best one is out for at least 6 months
