Port snap up Doolan
SOUTHPORT have signed midfielder John Doolan from Rochdale.
The 34-year-old boasts a wealth of experience and will take up a player-coach role at Haig Avenue.
Boss Gary Brabin said: “I have been waiting to make a quality signing and John fits the bill.
“He can play in a holding role and in central midfield. With his contacts and experience he will be a great asset both on and off the field.”
Doolan began his career as an apprentice at Everton before enjoying spells at Mansfield, Barnet, Doncaster, Blackpool and Rochdale.
