Reading Press Conference

Reading have called a news conference for 2.30 pmto clarify Steve Coppell's position as manager.

Following the club's relegation from the Premier League, doubts have been raised as to whether Coppell will remain as manager.

Steve Coppell is in the same mould as Kevin Keegan, he seems to be mentally weak when things are going wrong. He should be telling the Reading faithful how he's going to get them back in the Premiership, not fannying about deciding his future. He's a good manager, and Reading need him.

Reading have confirmed that manager Steve Coppell will remain at the club next season.

Did you see his interview on the last MOTD ? He looked pretty much close to tears. I think he'll get them back in there. I feel that lack of adequate funds to strengthen last summer certainly contributed to their demise this season.

That is one of the big problems for the smaller clubs, do you spend those millions and risk going down with huge debt....Possibly better to stay in business in the Chamionship than go into administration and get relegated......Its a tough call

Very true. Catch 22 situation. Hull, Stoke and to a lesser extent WBA will all have tough decisions to make this summer.
