Pugh signs in at Deepdale
Preston boss Paul Simpson has completed his first signing by recruiting winger Danny Pugh from Leeds.
Although the 23-year-old who has signed a three-year deal was out of contract, the Elland Road club were entitled to a fee as the player is under 24.
The fee could rise up to £250,000 depending on the appearances Pugh makes at Deepdale.
"I was keen to get here and as soon as I was offered a deal I knew I was going to sign," Pugh told the club's website.
"It's nice to know the manager wants you to play and it's good to know that I'm his first signing and I'll have to work hard," he added.
Pugh came through the youth ranks at Manchester United before joining Leeds, where he made 51 appearances.
