Kranjcar linked with Arsenal

Arsenal Football Club are lining up a stunning bid for Niko Kranjcar.

The Croatian international midfielder has been instrumental in Portsmouth's great first half of the season, whilst he also played a key role in ensuring England will have no role in Euro 2008 this summer.

It is now being rumoured that Arsene Wenger is keen to add the 23-year-old to his Gunners squad, despite the fact that the midfield playmaker has told Portsmouth News he is happy at Fratton Park.

"I'm happy here, I'm not even thinking about bigger clubs," said Kranjcar.

However, Wenger believes the former Hajduk Split man fits the bill for his young and exciting Arsenal future, and he will attempt to lure him to the Emirates Stadium with an offer of £12million at the end of the season.

I could see him fitting in well with the style of football played at Arsenal, i'm sure Portsmouth want to keep him but can they?

he said for a Croatian newspaper that he is really enjoying his time in Portsmouth and he has no intention(or reason) to leave
he is most of the time the best rated Portsmouth player and would be crazy to leave a team where he is respected and loved

portsmouth must keep players like Niko to close in on the top teams. They're the only one decent enough to do that (next to everton)
