All this talk of Heinze trying to get a move to Liverpool, throws up a question that you may need to get the record books out for....

When and who, was the last player to be transferred between Manchester United and Liverpool? ( either way) That's a straight transfer, and not like Paul Ince going to another club and then joining Liverpool.

And to set the record straight I do not know the answer! Doh! My son does but he cannot be contacted at the moment!

Last one was chisnall, but those days were different. There wasnt a big rivalry between LFC and Utd, busby and shankly were even friends i think

Thanks for the info mate. Some rivalry uh? More like a Sicilian vendetta!

Busby and Shanks came from the same kind of mining background in Scotland I think, so that would help them be mates. And they both believed in good flowing football, so that would help too I suppose.

BTW I wonder what they would make of all the diving and petulant "acting" of some of the modern day players?
