I like the group we've drawn, without illusions of grandure, I really think we have a hope of going through to the next stage. Its a given that AC will win the group but the other positions are well up for grabs.
We have already shown we can hold our own in the competition, long may it continue!

AC Milan are the obvious big guns in the whole competition but remember they're in the UEFA Cup because they weren't good enough for the Champions League. I hope you do well and you've every chance, even if your defence has been a bit suspect over the last few weeks

Well if we could have the scum spurs fans chant at him before every uefa game, we'd be laughing. They did us a real favour, he played superbly after they talk terraced chanting to a new low.

On a side note, 4 pompey players in the England squad, who'd of thought it 4 years ago!
If capello plays little and large up front, there'll be goals galore.

The chanting at Sol Campbell is nothing new in the game though Kross, what has it upset Portsmouth so much when it's been going on for years. Campbell reacted the best way he could, doing it on the pitch.
Regarding the England scene, you've done well getting Defoe and Crouch they're always going to score plenty of goals, i'm surprised that Tottenham let Defoe, Berbatov and keane all leave. I've never been a fan of David James but i can't give you someone who i could say with confidence that could replace him. Glenn Johnson has always had talent, he just struggled at Chelsea and seems to be back to his best.

I appreciate that chants have always been at the 'beautiful' game, however there does and has to come a limit. If I had children, I'd love to be able to take them and see a football match, but there is no way I'd want them to hear the vile shit that spurs fans repeatedly come up with.
I am all for banter on the terraces and piss take but christ what they come up with is nothing short of disgusting.
I'll try and remember and dig the chant up for for you.

Someone on the radio was saying how hypocritical Redknapp is over this. I think it was when he was in charge at West Ham and Paul Ince came back, he got called every name under the sun and Harry never said a word. The homophobic chants were aimed at Graeme Le Saux long before Campbell and again nothing was said, there's loads of instances that's gone on in recent years. I agree that racist chants should be outlawed, although most of them are just to get a reaction from the player, hopefully unsettling him.
Jan Molby used to get chants about his weight, Terry Hurlock about being a gypsy for his hair. I think evenyually people won't be able to say anything because it'll cause offence to some minority party.
Is Sol Campbell gay anyway, i've never heard anything menntioned

Its always been rumoured, anyway heres the chant, I expect you'll want to censor it more.

Sol, Sol, wherever you may be,

Not long now til lunacy,

And we couldn't give a f***,

When you're hanging from a tree,

Judas **** with HIV.

There are elements of that chant that are warranted but reffering to HIV and hanging from a tree is too strong. The days when we all went to the game with our mates, standing on the terraces are long gone, and like I said I wouldn't want to explain that chant to a little 'un.

Which clubs fans was it that were responsible for hanging a dummy from a pub in relation to david Beckham at the World Cup, was that Tottenham?
