Portsmouth: Patrick Vieira

Portsmouth are lining up a move to bring Patrick Vieira back to the Premier League and are reportedly willing to pay him £100,000 a week.

Can you see Vieira moving to Portsmouth, surely he's still capable of playing for one of Europes big clubs

We are one of europes big clubs Beefy. If not now, in the immediate future. The FA wants to help us build a stadium so we can host the world cup ffs.

I beg to differ on you being a big club Kross. You did excellent last season on winning the FA Cup, but that's the first major trophy you've won in a long time. When i said big clubs i meant the Barcelona, Real Madrid, the Milans, Juventus etc, i'm sorry but you're no way near that level and i can't ever see you getting there.

As I said in another post - Keep your feet on the ground. Winning the FA Cup seems to have gone to your head. Vieira would certainly be a good addition though. Whether he would go to Pompey is open to question however ...

The so called clubs you mentioned Beefy are nothing more than business's. PFC is and always will be a family football club playing in europe with a very bright future ahead of them. A training ground/academy to rival the gooners (same designer involved), a state of the art stadium backed by the FA to be able to stage the world cup.

RedRobin my feet are firmly on the ground, I have complete faith in the manager and owner of my football club and see nothing but good things for PFC.

I agree with what you say about the clubs i mentioned Kross and Portsmouth have done fabulous over the last couple of years and long may it continue. The point is you're saying that Pompey are one of Europes big clubs, but i can't see where that comes from. Portsmouth are a top 10 side in England right now, but i still think you need a few more top 10 finishes to cement your place in that group. As for Europe, there's a lot of clubs ahead of you on the "big club" ladder, probably 50 or more and all these clubs have a European pedigree, Pompeys hopefully for you is just beginning

FFS, Beefy this is in now way directed at you, the reason I haven't posted here in ages is because of the idiocy of most posters visiting this site.
I am not comparing the success of Pompey to that of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manure etc etc. What I am comparing though is the feeling of the club, Pompey are enjoying the success that Leeds and Notts Forest have enjoyed back in the day, A FOOTBALL CLUB not a BUSINESS.

Thats where I draw the conclusion of Pompey being a big european club, because we are a BIG CLUB NOT A BIG BUSINESS IN EUROPE. Its tongue in cheek for crying out loud.

*RANT OVER*

Hear hear Kross....wehnit comees to posters this forum is VVVVVVV Poor
The arcade just keeps beinging me back when "extremely" bored

Cant remmebr the last time an intelligent conversation took place on here

For the record, I will go as far to say we are too good for Viera now, and I NEVER thought I would be saying that......one of the greatest midfielders in his day, but I rate Diarra higher, and if Viera come sin you build your team round him and you lose the energy and drive from the team...he just does not have the legs anymore

Pompey bigger than Viera...thats what I like

Why don't you bring something to the forum yourself Davvers, it's easy to criticise the site but it needs more members to post instead of coming on and contributing nothing.
