For the conspiracy theorists, we'll find out on Saturday wether Defoe is a loanee, as he won't be playing because of a "torn calf muscle".

No, read the OS. He was intially a loanee because of the 11th hour transfer deal. Because he was a loan player when the transfer window closed he remains a loan player even though the deal went through in the early hours to buy him.
