I too couldn't understand why Gerrard and Torres didn't start. Reina was your saviour, I'd like to say it was a poorly taken penalty but it wasn't.

I think we suffered tactically not playing 4-4-2 as well, we have the makings of a fine midfield and Utaka was played out of position imo.

Big mistake by Rafa- playing a weakened side! He would have been better off resting players next week at home to birmingham, no disrespect to them but portsmouth is the tougher task of the two!
