McCormick charged over crash

Plymouth goalkeeper charged by Staffordshire Police

Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Luke McCormick has been charged over a motorway crash that killed two children.

McCormick, 24, has been charged on two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has also been charged with one count of driving with excess alcohol and one count of driving with no insurance, Staffordshire Police said.

The M6 crash, which occurred on Saturday morning, left two brothers aged 15and eight dead, and their father seriously injured.

A statement on the Plymouth's official website read: "As stated earlier, the club feels it would be inappropriate to make any comment at this stage regarding the nature of an incident that occurred on the M6 on Saturday morning.

"However, Plymouth Argyle sends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the two young boys who lost their lives.

"They are very much in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time."

Thet should lock him up and throw away the key. My heart goes out to the parents and family of the 2 lads, they were only just starting out in life and it gets taken away by a drunk driver.

i think your insurance is invalidated as soon as you get behind the wheel while under the influence - the insurers way of not having to payout!

There was an Ex-Coventry/WBA player who did something similar he got such a short sentence he's now playing again, that is just wrong.

To my mind being drunk and uninsured means if found guilty he should serve at least ten years which I think the limit for such crimes. He should also be banned from driving for life and fined about £1million to ensure he suffers for the rest of his life as that family will have to..........

Hell I so enjoy a good rant........................

I think you're talking about Lee Hughes who's now playing at Oldham. Footballers think they're above the law, has this bloke shown any remorse about the death of the 2 brothers, i haven't seen anything in the papers.
