McParland rues inconsistency

Notts County manager Ian McParland is at a loss to explain his side's "Jekyll and Hyde" form after a third straight defeat at Meadow Lane.

McParland described his side's display in the home defeat to Stockport as "lazy" and "rubbish".

In between, County had produced an impressive performance to earn a goalless draw at high-flying Hereford on New Year's Day.

McParland said: "If I could put my finger on it I would sort it out because it is disappointing.

"It needs sorting because it is Jekyll and Hyde stuff at the moment. We looked a different team to the one that did so well at Hereford.

"I am going to put my finger on it. It is frustrating for the fans and myself. I am going to have a look at a few things over the next few days and have a good think."
