Omerod joins Forest

Nottingham Forest have sealed the loan capture of Preston's Brett Ormerod.

The 31-year-old striker has signed until the end of the season after he shunned a move to League Two Morecambe earlier this week.

Ormerod is now in line to make his Forest debut against Crewe at the weekend.

He played for approx. 60 minutes on Saturday but, considering the whole team didn't manage a worthwhile shot on target all game I shall refrain from making hasty comments about his input !!

You seem to be going through a bit of a bad patch Steed, is automatic promotion still your aim or is the play-offs more likely now?

Calderwood says automatic promotion is still on but with 10 games left & 10 points behind Doncaster & 9 behind Carlisle I think the bloke's living in clowd cukoo land !! Donny & Carlisle are going to have to have a really dodgy spell between now & the ned of the season & we're going to have to go on an unbeaten winning run. Sine none of the teams have done what I've written so far this season I'm thinking the play offs are about what we can hope for.

Last season's memory still looms large for me

Well, lastnights welcome away win at Northampton was a surprise to say the least. Down to 10 men when Perch was sent off & Northampton themselves pressing for a playoff place themselves seemed to be a hard night in the making. I have to take my hat off to the lads for a great effort. Please please keep it up for the rest of the season.
