Forest bring in Wright

Nottingham Forest have signed veteran defender Alan Wright on loan from Sheffield United.

Wright has linked up with the League One hopefuls on loan until the end of the season.

The former Aston Villa and Blackburn man is well down the pecking order at Bramall Lane and he recently had a spell on loan at Doncaster.

Forest boss Colin Calderwood was delighted to bring in the experienced full-back

"Alan will bring a lot of qualities to the group," Calderwood told the club's official website.

"He has played most of his career at the highest level and also knows what is required to be part of promotion-winning squads."

Wright is set to go straight into the squad for this weekend's clash with Gillingham.
