Dyer set to return
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder expects injury-plagued Kieron Dyer to return to first-team duty by the end of October.
Dyer, 27, has been sidelined for the last six months with a persistent hamstring injury but returned to the fray in a practice match on Tuesday. Roeder told the club website: "If all goes to plan, Kieron will be able to stand the pace of a Premiership game before the end of the month.
