Chris Mort to stand down
Chris Mort is to step down as Newcastle chairman a year after replacing Freddy Shepherd at the helm.
It is understood the top City lawyer, who took a year's sabbatical to spearhead owner Mike Ashley's vision for the future at St James' Park, could leave the club within a matter of weeks.

Until Newcastle sort themselves out then there always going to be question marks over what the future holds. They really need a good organisation in the background to help things on & off the field. Until there is some sort of stable influence then things will just go from one crisis to another.
