Joey Barton

Once again the nasty little thing that goes under the name of Joey Barton has disgraced himself, this time with a disgusting tackle on Dickson Etuhu of Sunderland. How much longer are we going to tolerate vermin like Barton in our game, has anyone got any time for him?

The Football Association have announced that no formal action will be taken against Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton for his controversial challenge on Dickson Etuhu during his side's 1-1 draw at Sunderland at the weekend.
The incident occurred on the stroke of half-time when, after releasing the ball, Barton appeared to jab his foot into Etuhu's groin. There were angry verbal exchanges between players before calm was restored, though the referee did not see fit to issue any cards.

Following a string of well-publicised offences earlier in his career, Barton pledged to cool his temper and he has yet to be booked this season.

It really is time that this idiot was well and truly dealt with for his actions. I cannot believe that he is allowed to continue making a fortune with a career as a professional footballer. The guy is a disgrace to the game

Ridiculous decision, i saw the challenge and if it was anyone else it would have been at least a 3 match ban.
Maybe the fact he is due in Crown court soon and when found guilty will get sent down came into it.
