Eurovision Song Contest 2008

Started taking an interest in this since Ruslana and Lordi won.

UK entry this year cr*p as usual.

My country, Latvia, are going to win again this year with
this lot of nutters:

YouTube - Pirates Of The Sea - Wolves of the Sea "Eurovision 2008"

Off to the betting shop tomorrow before the odds fall!

I was hoping the lad from rotherham was going to win, i know him lol, but, it doesnt matter who we pick, we will never get any points, even if we had the best song in the world

This pirate song is garbage that won't win unless it's a fiddle, Norways song is the best i'v heard.

Well, both of them are through to the final, so we shall see!

The other songs I liked were the Finnish and Belgian entries, but the
latter didn't qualify for the final.

Finally got down to the betting shop this afternoon...if Latvia win my
mortgage for next month is sorted!
(So they probably won't).

Unfortunately we've p*ssed too many people off in the last 5 years or so. It's the voting that always gets me with Eurovision. Very politically motivated at times. Needless to say, like Euro 2008 I shaln't be watching.

I won't be actually watching the singing (if that's what you can call it ) but I do watch the scoring - always predictable and as you say, we aren't exactly very popular with our European counterparts.

Jesus H Christ that is awful...and we're worse than that good god.......saying that I don't think the BBC wants to win anymore because of the coat of staging the damn show......

The only interesting part of the whole show is the voting..how all the greek states give each other ten points and non to turkey, same as the former yugoslavia states excluding Serbia of course and then there is the former eastern block countries.......Is it this weekend, then one good reason to be in America
