Morecambe have failed in a bid to sign Andy Kirk.

Shrimps boss Sammy McIlroy has revealed that he tried to sign the Glovers striker but had failed in bid to lure the player to Christie Park.

"Andy Kirk, unfortunately didn't come," McIlroy told The Citizen.
"He's a player I worked with in the Northern Ireland under-21's but I couldn't do a deal there."
