Macc Lads 2 Bury Shakers 3

What a great day!
Time to watch some 'Bread and Butter' football at tiny Moss Rose instead of going to the Theatre of Dreams to watch United.
The Sun was shining, good job because there was no roof!
Bury and Macc are 2 of the poorest teams in the league going off their league positions, but served up a very entertaining game with 5 goals and plenty of skill and endeavour. I have to say I was impressed with the standard.
Macc took the lead from a corner, Bury equalised with a 25 yard screamer, and it was 1-1 at half time, a fair reflection of the game.
Bury looked the better team when they kept it on the floor, and were looking to get a few goals in the 2nd half.
So it proved, Bury went 2-1 up with a 20 yard curler into the top corner, and 3-1 up a few minutes later.
Bury went into cruise control with 20 mins left when they went 3-1 up.
Macc they started to play and battered the Bury goal with wave after wave of attacks, and scored with 10 mins left to make it 3-2.
Two penalty claims by Macc were dismissed by the poor referee, (but how many good ones are there?), and Macc hit the post in the last minute of injury time, giving Bury a deserved but nervy victory.
A great day out, and United won as well!
I might even go again!
