Yeo joins Macclesfield

Macclesfield Town manager Keith Alexander admits he has made an exception to sign veteran striker Simon Yeo.

"As a rule I don't like to sign players over 30, but in Simon's case I was happy to make an exception as I know what he can do and equally I know how hungry he is to make up for the last few years."

The 34-year-old has agreed a one-year contract with Macclesfield after being released by Chester City at the end of the season.

keith Alexander here rounding up his old boys again.

haha this hasnt come as a shock signing to anyone really, weve still got his two favourites because he signed them on 2 year deals, the first thing he did as macc manager was make a big for both futcher and morgan his two old pals from lincoln and when he was with us he tried signing nat brown from lincoln aswell. In the end Yeo also ended u on loan with us.

the mans a joke plays horrile football and ruined our season, he had a good start with macc but i dont think they have much chance with him incharge this year

he is a good manager, he did very well for lincoln, didnt he get them to the play offs 3 seasons in a row or something? then he became ill,

i wounder if that yeo would have done a job for us? he has got a decent goal scoring record, and we havent got a person who can score lol.

Not too sure about Keith Alexander. He has left clubs under a cloud a couple of times recently. He has a really hard act to follow in Paul Ince.
