Sum up yourseason

well, how has your season gone then and what do you expect for next season.

Rotherham

Well, it has been a mixed season on and off the field, we signed 13 players and we were hoping to finish in the play offs. at christmas and after 7 wins in a row, we were 2nd and only 3 points behind mk dons at the top, but with talk about going into admin, the players seem to lose intrest.

so admin came and we droped out of the play offs. then went on a bad run with 4 losses in a row. we looked set to go bust unless we found a buyer. then 5 parties made a bid for us, so things started to look up, but then again mr booth treatend to kick us out of millmoor and to sue is, if that happened then we would be no more, thank god it didnt happen. so we finished with 4 wins in a row and only let in 1 goal.

we have got a buyer, its a local group with 2 millionaires backing us worth around 100m, so looks good.

was the last game at millmoor, so a great ground is gone, looks like we will be at don valley and plan to build a new ground. for next season, hope we can finish in the top 3, we could have done it this season but of the admin. we may start on -15, but lets not think of that.

so Up The Millers, and lets go up next season

Begining - CRAP

Middle -OK

End - CRAP

The only saving grace is that Birmingscum and Fulscum may BOTH get relegated !

Before the season started i didn't know what to expect with us being on -15 points. After 5 games we'd wiped all the deduction off, i think we'd gone 13 games unbeaten which made the league look easy. Gus Poyet leaving was a big factor in our mid season slump, things started to look bleak so Dennis Wise jumped ship. Towards the end of the season i'd have settled for the play-offs, Gary McAllister has got us there. Now i think we're the form team going into the play-offs, but we can't take anything for granted.

Nothing else to add other than it's bitterly disappointing and frustrating but at least my fears before Xmas about possible relegation to the conference didn't materialise. Highlights of the season for me - great win and weekend away at Chester; good performance home to Chesterfield which falsely gave me some hope that we might mount an unexpected promotion challenge and of course, NatBee as mascot.

For Swindon - Well we didn't set the world on fire but we at least consolidated our place back in League 1. A traumatic time for the fans after nearly going bust but then being rescued at nearly the last minute. Lost a good manager in Sturrock but Malpas is starting to make his mark. Hopefully we can push on next season. Plus we did the double over Brizzle Rovers

Leyton Orient

starting the season as joint favourites to finish bottom doesnt give supporters much expectation. but starting the way we did & staying in the promotion hunt until january had supporters dreaming of a play-off place. however, the club had no desire to get promoted & kept their money in their pockets as other clubs made the final push towards a play-off spot. this resulted in Orient finishing a lowly 14th.

one good thing for us is that we got -10 and still finished 9th, so was a good end to the season and has shown how well we did.

one thing next season we need is a goal scorer, our top scorer had 11 goals this season, that is no where near good enough, so if we want to finish in the top 3, we need a 20 goal a season man
