nearly half way

well, nearly half way through the season now. how it been going for your team? what do you think you need to get in the transfer window?

well for the millers its been going well, not the best start but we have picked up it on won 7 in a row, only 1 point of top 3. i would have taken that at the start. think we need to go and get a striker, we havent got a goalscorer in the team, if we get one we can make that push for the top spot.

This season has been going quite well, considering all the changes at Mossley in the summer. Our financial benefactors left the club, we had been relegated after just one season up and all the players had left the club. We appointed Gerry Quinn as manager, and he has had to build a whole new squad from scratch.

There was a new board of directors appointed from the fans and they have done well, our financial position is now quite good. On the field we have been up and down but sit 9th at the moment. The play offs are within reach if we can get some consistency. I doubt we could have asked for much more to be honest, and Gerry Quinn is doing well on a much reduced budget from last season

We've done brilliantly so far and to get where we are now is beyond anybody's expectations. I feel that since we've made the top 6 we seemed to go a little flat, but 2 good home wins against Port Vale and Huddersfield seem to have got us back on track. The crowds are back at Elland Road and yesterdays attendance of 32,000 was the biggest in the 3rd tier since 1971.

Dennis Wise has been promised money to spend in january and i'd like to see him get a left back and another keeper. He needs to be thinking how many of the current squad he'd keep if we do win promotion because if that happens heavy investment will be needed to ensure we're competative.

I have fears about Brentford playing non-league football ... but strangely enough, after yesterday's performance, I think that we will still be in League 2 - there's enough about us to survive.

Having said that, what a sad demise of a team on the verge of the Championship two seaons ago - I could weep.

thats the problem, its been a mad 5 years for us. we were in the championship and in the play-offs at christmas, then didnt win for 21 games, then nearly went bust and here we are today.

but we still have big problems off the pitch, not as bad as before, but still needs some work doing. at least the playing side is better now. we have a young manager and a lot of good young players. the average age of the squad is 23 i think, so its good for the future.
