a new run to srart

RICHARD Money has outlined his players' determination to bounce straight back from the rare setback of a league defeat.

Walsall's 2-1 reverse at Carlisle last Saturday ended their unbeaten league run at 17 games.

Now the challenge is to hit back and get another run going, starting at home to Yeovil this weekend.

"The lads were disappointed because they are very proud of the run they were on," Money said.

"But we will make sure we pick them up properly and get them ready to go again next week.

"The run was absolutely phenomenal. To go 17 games unbeaten in any division is incredible - and we have had a lot of problems along the way.

"We picked up injuries and suspensions and lost players through transfers so it has been a fantastic effort from everybody. Now we have to regroup and go again."

Money believes recent loan signing Kevin Betsy will have a big role to play after his debut at Carlisle.

"Kevin showed promise," Money said. "He didn't arrive until Thursday so did not have much time with his team-mates, but he was promising.

"It was his first first-team game for some time so it might take him a couple of games to get up to speed. But that was the case with Lee Holmes when he arrived.

"It takes players a while to settle in. There is a lot more to come from Kevin."
