David McNamee leaves Coventry City

SCOTTISH full-back David McNamee has left Coventry City.

The out-of-contract right-back has been training with the Sky Blues in a bid to win a new contract.

But Chris Coleman has decided not to offer the talented but injured plagued defender a new deal.

The Scottish player has been blighted with injuries since moving from Livingston two years ago.

He was recently linked with a move to Aberdeen,

The decision leaves the Sky Blues short on right-sided defenders, a role which Isaac Osbourne filled while McNamee was out with injuries last year.

Sunderland and former Liverpool defender Stephen Wright is currently on trial with City in a bid to win a permanent move.
