Doyle will miss start of season

Doyle only missed four league games last season the Coventry City midfielder Michael Doyle will miss the start of next season and could be out for four months following a hernia operation.

The former captain played through the pain barrier towards the end of last season as City secured their survival and aggravated his injury.

Boss Chris Coleman told the club website: "He carried on playing to help us through a difficult time.

"It's a shame he will not be fit for the start of the new campaign."

Better he's fully fit than trying to chase a game only 60% fit....I wish him a speedy recovery
