RUFC - 'stay as long as you like'

Rotherham United have been told they can stay at Don Valley for as long as they want.

Speaking to The Star, Steve Brailey, chief executive of Sheffield International Venues said, 'There are one or two things still to iron out with the Football Association and the licensing authorities but nothing that will break the deal as far as I'm concerned.

'Rotherham came to us asking for our help and we are happy to give it, and I do appreciate that the situation is far from ideal, but we are used to hosting major events and will be in further talks with the football club to see what they require and how we can look after them.

'We're happy to have them here as long as they want to stay.'

it holds 25,000 and there is only 1 roof on the main stand, the rest is open. so im not sure how were going to do this. the main stand could hold both fans, but it may just be for the rotherham fans and we will put other fans behind the goal

it is hard to make an atmosphere there as its so big, no roofs and your far away from the picth. but we will try to make one anyway

you have missed a treat by not going to millmoor, it was one of the last proper football grounds left. you were close to the pitch, it was very intimidating going down millmoor lane, when the home fans were above you.

but we will try to make don valley imtimidating now, maybe put up some barbed wire. we will think of some good ones for you
